Bells for St Mary's Church, Isles of Scilly

Images tracking the progress of the bells destined for the Parish Church of St Mary's, Hugh Town, on the Isles of Scilly. The eight bells will replace the church's existing single bell. Seven of the eight bells are sponsored by individual benefactors. The 8th bell is sponsored by Islanders and Friends from the mainland.
The bells were cast by <a href="http://www.whitechapelbellfoundry.co.uk" target="new">Whitechapel Bell Foundry</a> and then transported to <a href="http://www.nicholsonbellhangers.com">Nicholson Engineering</a> in Bridport, Dorset, for assembly into the frame.
The bells and frame weigh 5 tonnes and will be transported to the Isles of Scilly on Monday 23rd March on the <a href="http://www.islesofscilly-travel.co.uk/contact.htm" target="new">Isles of Scilly Steamship Company</a>'s supply vessel the Gry Maritha.
